Privacy & cookies

The short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell or share your data for marketing, and analytics only runs if you say yes. The longer version follows.

Who we are

LochLogic Ltd is registered in Scotland, Company No. SC831344. Registered office: 44 Midstocket View, Aberdeen AB15 6BS, UK. For anything privacy-related, email hello@lochlogic.tech.

What we collect, and why

Contact & project forms. When you email us or use a form on this site, we receive what you send: your name, email address, company name if you give it, and your message. We use it solely to reply and to carry out any work you ask us to do. Forms are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, which acts as a data processor on our behalf.

Analytics (optional). If — and only if — you accept analytics in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are read, roughly where visitors come from, and what devices they use. This data is aggregated; we don't use it to identify individuals, and we don't use advertising or remarketing features.

We don't buy data about you, we don't sell data about you, and we don't send marketing emails.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies at all until you make a choice in the banner. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) to distinguish visitors; these expire after up to 13 months. If you reject, no analytics cookies are set and the site works exactly the same. Your choice itself is stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask you on every visit.

You can change your mind at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer of every page. To remove cookies already set, clear cookies for this site in your browser.

Where your data lives, and for how long

Form submissions and email live in our email and hosting systems for as long as we're in conversation or working together, and are deleted when no longer needed. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months, then deleted automatically. Some processors (Netlify, Google) may process data outside the UK/EEA under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

Under UK and EU GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict our use of it, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@lochlogic.tech and we'll respond within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or your local EU supervisory authority.
