One codebase. Both app stores. A backend that actually works.
We build iOS and Android apps with React Native and Expo — and the same codebase can reach Apple TV and Android TV when your product belongs on the big screen. Unlike app shops that stop at the screen, we build the Laravel API behind it too. One team, one architecture, no gaps between "the app people" and "the backend people."
Why React Native + Expo
Building separate native apps means two codebases, two teams, and every feature paid for twice. React Native gives you one codebase compiling to real native apps on both platforms — used in production by some of the world's biggest consumer apps.
- Roughly 30–40% lower cost than parallel native development — one implementation, both stores.
- Faster to market — features ship once, not twice.
- Over-the-air updates via Expo — bug fixes delivered instantly to users' devices, without waiting days for app store review (store rules permitting).
- Shared DNA with your website — if we've built you a React web app, components, logic and developers carry across.
When native-only is genuinely required — heavy 3D, specialised hardware integrations, platform-exclusive features — we'll say so up front rather than force a fit.
Our mobile services
iOS & Android apps
Consumer apps, customer portals, booking and ordering apps, field-team tools — designed for both platforms' conventions, built from one React Native + Expo codebase that can extend to Apple TV and Android TV too.
react native apps →App + backend packages
The full product: Laravel API, admin panel, authentication, push notifications, payments — plus the app itself. Most "app agencies" quietly subcontract the backend; we build both, which is where reliability actually lives.
app + backend →Companion apps for existing systems
Already have a website or internal system? We build the mobile app that talks to it — adding a mobile channel without rebuilding what works.
companion apps →App rescue & takeover
Inherited an app the original developers abandoned? We audit it, stabilise it, bring the dependencies and store compliance up to date, and put it on a care plan.
app rescue →Store submission & launch
App Store and Google Play submission handled end to end: listings, screenshots, review-guideline compliance, and the inevitable back-and-forth with Apple.
store submission →App care plans
The part most agencies skip: keeping your app alive after launch. OS updates, dependency upgrades, store-policy compliance, monitoring and OTA releases — from £59/month.
care plans & pricing →Most apps aren't killed by competitors. They're killed by neglect.
Here's what app agencies don't put on their websites: an app that isn't maintained stops working. iOS and Android ship major updates every year. Store policies change and non-compliant apps get delisted. Libraries deprecate. Certificates expire.
We've structured our whole mobile offering around this reality — every app we build comes with a care plan option, priced and explained before you commit to the build. You'll know the true cost of ownership on day one, not eighteen months in.
How a project runs
-
Product scoping
What the app must do at v1, what waits for v2, and a fixed quote for the first. Ruthless scoping is how apps ship on budget.
-
Design
From your designs, or with one of our design partners — mobile UI is a specialism and we treat it as one.
-
Real builds, early
You're tapping through real builds on your own phone within weeks via TestFlight and internal tracks — not reviewing screenshots for months.
-
Backend in parallel
API, admin panel and infrastructure built alongside the app by the same team.
-
Launch & maintain
Store submissions, review handling, release monitoring — then a care plan with an OTA release pipeline, analytics and crash monitoring from day one.
Common questions
How much does an app cost?
A focused v1 (one core job, both platforms, backend included) typically runs £15,000–£35,000. Complex products go beyond that. We'll also tell you honestly if your idea is really a mobile-friendly website wearing an app costume — that's a much cheaper build.
iOS first, Android first, or both?
With React Native it's both by default — that's the point. Launching one store first is a business choice, not a cost saving.
Do we need our own developer accounts?
Yes — Apple and Google developer accounts should be in your name, so you own your store presence. We set them up with you.
What are over-the-air updates?
Expo lets us push JavaScript-level fixes and improvements directly to installed apps, bypassing store review for eligible changes. Critical bugs get fixed in hours, not days.
Who owns the code?
You do — full repository access from week one, everything documented at handover.
Bring us the idea. We'll bring the honest numbers.
What v1 should contain, what it'll cost to build, and — because we're the rare agency that says it up front — what it'll cost to keep alive.
