Common questions
How much does a bespoke web application cost?
Focused internal tools and portals typically start around £10,000–£20,000; fuller products and SaaS builds £25,000–£60,000+. The discovery workshop (fixed price, typically £1,500–£3,000, credited if you proceed) turns your brief into a firm number.
Laravel or Node.js — which will you use for us?
Whichever fits. Laravel is our default for data-heavy business applications — portals, admin-rich systems, complex relational data — because it ships batteries-included and PHP hosting is cheap and everywhere. Node.js wins when the application is real-time, when your team wants one language end-to-end, or when we're building alongside a Next.js frontend. Both are mature and hugely popular — either way, the talent pool for your codebase is enormous and you're never locked into us.
Can you take over an existing Laravel, Node or old PHP application?
Yes — takeovers and modernizations are a core service. We start with a code audit so both sides know the true state of things.
We're a startup — do you do equity deals?
Our default is straightforward payment, but for the right product we're open to hybrid conversations. Either way you'll get honest input on scope — we've built our own product and know what v1 discipline costs and saves.
Who owns the code?
You do. Full repository access from the start, IP assigned in the contract.
