services / mobile / companion apps

Your system works. Give it a mobile channel.

You already run the website, the portal, the booking system, the CRM — and now customers or staff need it in their pocket. A companion app adds the mobile channel — push notifications, offline access, camera and location — without rebuilding the system that already earns its keep.

Companion apps we build

Customer apps for your portal

The web portal's core jobs — balances, bookings, documents, payments — app-shaped, with push notifications replacing the emails nobody opens.

Staff apps for internal systems

The field half of your internal tools: job lists, check-ins, photos and signatures flowing straight into the office system.

Apps over your CMS

Drupal or WordPress content feeding a native app experience — the same structured content, a second channel, no duplicate editing.

Ordering companions for stores

A native ordering app over your existing WooCommerce or e-commerce platform — loyalty, reorders and push offers for the customers who buy most.

Booking companions

Your booking system in app form: book, reschedule, get reminded — no-shows drop when the reminder buzzes in a pocket.

The API bridge, if needed

System has no usable API? We build the bridge layer — a thin, documented API over your existing database or platform, which future projects thank you for anyway.

// the honest bit

Does anyone want this app?

The graveyard of business apps is full of ones nobody installed. The honest first question isn't "can we build it?" but "will your users grant it home-screen space?" — which usually depends on one thing the web can't do: push notifications, offline access in the field, or camera-first workflows. If your case doesn't have that thing, a great mobile web experience is cheaper and better — and we'll tell you so before you spend app money.

Common questions

Our system wasn't built by you. Does that matter?

No — companion apps are mostly integration work against what exists. We audit the system's API surface first, so feasibility is known before the quote. If it's creaky, that surfaces early too.

Will changes to our main system break the app?

Not if the bridge is versioned properly — that's standard API discipline. Under an app care plan, we test the pairing whenever either side changes.

What does a companion app cost?

Typically £12,000–£25,000 depending on how much the existing system can carry — less than a full product build, because your backend already exists. The API audit tells us which end of the range you're at.

What system needs a pocket edition?

Tell us what you run and who'd use the app. A developer replies with an honest read on feasibility — and whether your users will actually install it.
