Contrib-first, custom second
The best custom module is often the one you don't write. Drupal's contributed ecosystem is enormous, and our first job is knowing it well enough to say "there's a module for that — configure it" when that's true. Custom code is for the gap that genuinely remains: written to core standards, config exported and version-controlled, upgrade-tested, and documented. That discipline is why our builds survive major version upgrades without drama.

Yes — most of our module work is on inherited sites. We start small, learn the codebase, and leave it better documented than we found it.
What does custom module work cost?
Small integrations and admin tools typically start around £2,000; larger features are specced and quoted fixed-price. Care plan clients get priority scheduling and discounted rates on this work.
Do you contribute back to Drupal?
Where client work surfaces a genuinely general fix, we push patches upstream — it's good citizenship, and it means the fix is maintained by the community instead of by your budget.
